My interpretation is its alright. I think its one of those flattering words they use.. western woman who is popular or something of that nature.
Maybe if you talk about going to clubs or something as well.. they might have combined the two.. doesn't seem bad to me though. |

| My nickname at my school was "Glamour" as well. My korean friends as well as my Korean coworkers told me that Glamour means big boobs. Kind of makes one feel self concious, but I have been assured that it is a good thing. |

the above is correct, big boobs, except it is not really a good thing. if it was said to a korean she would be offended. it is rude. if it is said between good friends it is not as bad but it would still make a korean girl feel uncomfortable.
that was from a korean girl today. i have heard before it is not really a good thing also. |

And yesterday at work...i wore a short sleeved t-shirt....and everytime my boss saw me he giggled....and said wow....very small shirt. In korea it is not summer time yes. Giggle giggle giggle.

But I have teeny boobs and have been called glamour before. It is usually sparked by tight clothes and the  raunchy V-neck. I don't think it's said as a compliment though.
I had a Korean friend (who lived in the States for five years!) who, when watching the news (from home, on video) said in astonishment, "Wow, do all the news presenters show SO much cleavage?" It was just a nice open necked shirt the news-reader was wearing. |

It's not abt boobs, more abt the overall shape I think.
I'm Korean but I've been called glamour by my students. I had no idea what it meant at first, they were certainly not referring to my dress sense! I don't have big boobs or anything, but I think I'm more curvy than other Korean girls generally.
It's certainly not negative, and probably a compliment to a woman who has a 'womanly' shape. |

I suppose like anything it depends on the context of which the words are being spoken in and the tone of voice. |

korean hey? how long have you lived here? i'm an australian male and learned about glamour in my first week of class from pictures that my students were describing.. they said glamour and cracked up laughing.
i have had 2 guys tell me it means tall, big boobs (or visable cleavage or dressing the boobies up) and it is not offensive
and
2 gals tell me it means big boobs (or visable cleavage or dressing the boobies up) and it is offensive
it is certainly not positive or complimentary, probably used jokingly with friends it doesn't have a very harsh meaning although my wife says if her good friend called her a glamour she wouldn't feel good.
asking teachers or students from your school would probably provide a diplomantic opinion. ask a drinking pal or a friend, somebody who doesn't have to put sugar coating on it to protect themselves or students.
edit: i don't really think they know themselves. just asked another 2 teachers, both said different things. 1 said big booies the other said big body. 1 said bad and the other said it depends on the situation. i found all the males say it is ok while all the females say it is bad..

Been here 2 years, in Oz 16 years.
Took me a while to understand the whole 'glamour'thing, just thought it's a compliment because my female students were complaning about the lack of curves in their bodies and told me they wished they had a body like mine  They thought my body is more 'western' than ' Korean' due to all the western food I consumed in Oz! Little do they know that I'm very much a kimchi and rice girl~ |

| I asked my husband. He says that glamour means "beautiful volume"... T&A. So yeah, it basically means voluptuous, in a good sense. He insists it's not a bad thing, but rather a compliment. |
