This is probably gonna horrify some (most?) of you people here, but since I'm into the whole K-pop thing, I think it's a hoot.

Dunno if anyone else has heard, but MBC has joined up with Youtube to find the next K-pop star. This time, they've opened it for any gender, age, or nationality. That's right- If you're from Japan, Canada, Sweden, or Russia, you can apply to be the next K-pop star.

My predictions is that a girl or boy group a la Super Junior/Girls Generation will be created, but with a person from each country.

I'm not partipating though. I think my voice would be 'too much' to handle. They wouldn't know what to do with me. Actually they would. I imagine it would include a boot and a door.

K-pop, like most soju and ramyeon, is artificial, cheap and of the lowest quality. It's NOT Korean culture at its finest.

My prediction: At least half will be Korean, likely 3 locals, 1 other Asian and 1 token Caucasian, the group presented as global, led by a Korean of course.

Of course it's cheap and cheesy, and not the best example of Korean culture.

That doesn't prevent me from liking it though.
