I don't know what, if anything, will come of this, but I figure there's no harm in trying.

I'm about to face 36 hours of what I imagine will be mostly sleepless travel. Been bombing around Europe for a few weeks, missed my flight to Milan to leave from Seoul, had to improvise... anyway... I'm arriving to Seoul at around 7 or 8 PM, Friday evening (the 12th). And I don't as yet know where I'm going to sleep.

I have several apartments lined up to see, but nothing is available for a few days. My friends all only live in one room. So what I'm looking for is just a room with a bed to crash in on a night-by-night basis, until I find a room for a month (which I probably have already found, but can't finalize until I actually get to Seoul) or my own apartment.

I assure you I am a nice, normal, quiet, neat, non-smoking man with no pets. I'm twenty-nine, American. If anyone out there has an extra bedroom and feel like making, I don't know, 20,000 WON for each night...?? Post here or PM me. Really, I'll probably only need a night or two.

Maybe this sounds weird, but again, no harm in trying. Or if anyone knows a cheap hotel/guest house that does decent rates for extended stays, I'd very much appreciate it.

Thanks.

A goshiwon should run you at around 10,000 a night, while a long term love motel arrangement might come to 30-40,000 a night

I can show you motel in Incheon near line #1 where they specialize in monthly rentals of private rooms @ around 450,000/month. I guess they would do two weeks if thats all you want, maybe one week too.
Its a motel so that includes a TV, hot water, drinking water.
You could avail of a washing machine and a microwave if you keep a low profile.
If it sounds interesting you can p.m. and I will confirm the price.

Theres plenty of cheaper motels if you just want for a few days, but its not 20,000 for one night, its more.

I have an extra bed in my spare bedroom. But you will have to share the bed with my two dogs. One has very hairy haunches and often times he gets little shitballs hanging off some of the longer hairs. If I misplaced my hairpoop cutting scissors sometimes they remain on their for a couple of days. Plus every hour you must wake up and tell him how pretty he is, he has low self esteem.

I can recommend a guest house near Hongdae. The name is BLU.
Its run by friends of a colleague of mine. He said its a nice place, I haven't been there.

Near Hapjeong is KIM's GUEST HOUSE

Kims is better

The owner of BLU is soooo rude

He is one of those Koreans that tends to be very nice and friendly (
speaks good English etc) but then tends to just turn "Korean" on you
once there is a problem.

Glad I never half to deal with him again.
