I have too much vacation this year and might want to spend a few days in Japan.

What's it like in Winter?

I tried to plan my vacations so that I could travel eastern Asia during the warmer months because I imagined that they're all cold as heck in the winter time, but Fukuoka is pretty far south right? Is it miserable there in February?

Fukuoka and Kyoto are pretty nice that time of year. I was in a light jacket and jeans most of the time. Tokyo also was not that bad. It is only Nagano and Hokkaido that seem to get the snow along with some of the mountains. Another bonus is that most of the touristy stuff is pretty quiet so you can have some quiet time with all those temples everyone will tell you to visit.

go to nagano, spend your time snowboarding on hakuba. Youll have a blast!
