Looks great. I've decided to wait till christmas before I pull the trigger on a tablet PC. This looks like a no-brainer at the price point though. |

I'd like to see one in action. One thing I really like about Apple's IOS is how fluid the software is. Zooming, sliding, and navigating is very smooth and fluid with little to no jerking.
If Android tablets can do the same then I'm sold. I'd love to keep my Iphone and have an Android Tablet. |

I'd really like to know more, but it seems a little early yet. Please update if you get more information. |

Yep, if it's 490K I'm out of the runnings. I'd sooner get a nice ion netbook. |

that's a big price difference, but it's a pretty sweet tablet.
the DMB Tuner is pretty huge.
I'm actually a little surprised KT hasn't been pushing to make some kind of accessory for the iphone to add a dmb tuner. Some koreans I've talked to have been complaining about not having it. |

Does anyone know when this is actually going to be released? Also, I can't find the Galaxy tab on any of the sites. |

Is it just me, or does the KT Identity seem a little too thick? |

I just called the KT Show store in Itaewon today and the guy told me (I guess its one of 5 stores in Seoul that has an English speaker on staff) that its only 300,000W without a contract.
He also told me that since I have an E-2 visa, that I wouldnt be eligible for a contract which sucks because I probably will be here 2 years anyway.
Anyone bought one? I just cant find a lot of information on this tablet whereas Samsung marketing as the Galaxy Tab all over the place. I'm currently deciding between a Nook Color and the KT Identity Tab. I liked the Kindle and its price and Whispernet, but I'd like to be able to read magazines.
I will eventually buy an iPad but I'm waiting another generation or two for them to work out the kinks (and add features). Plus the Identity Tab will (allegedly) be quite cheaper at the current Won/Dollar exchange rate. |

The egg contract works out to around 648,000W over 2 years. If you don't need the egg, it's a better deal to just buy it outright.
They had one on display you could try at the Jongno store when I went to pick up my iPhone. You could head over and try it out. |

Great point! I may not need the egg. I live in a rural town that's literally a cul-de-sac so I guess I wouldnt be going a lot of places that need a wireless signal and it would be cheaper to buy a router for my apartment.
My only concern is probably how to use the tablet when I'm in Seoul. Is it easy to pick up a signal without any sort of subscription? |

Hit and miss. It's getting better. I find the places I go, I don't always seem to get a signal. Other people claim to have no problems getting signals no matter where they are. KT has a lot of extra access points opening across the city, and they actually have an app that will show you specifically where they have partner access points. But you can use any open signal anywhere as always on top of that. A fair number of coffee shops have them, but even still I end up in the odd one that doesn't have one. You'd probably be okay. |
