I love Korean food, but when it comes a good old pizza, I haven't had a whole lot of luck finding a great one. Sure, even subpar pizza is still pretty decent, but nothing seems to compare to pizza I had back home.

My personal pet peeve is the fact most places place the pepperoni UNDER the cheese before they cook it, so it pretty much remains spongy instead of being placed on top of the cheese so it can get nice and crispy. There was one place in the Nowon area called Lugano's who did this pretty well, but since I've moved away from there, I haven't been able to find a good replacement place.

So when you get the crazing for a hot, delicious pizza, where do you turn to???

I've heard Costco is good, and EMart does a knockoff that looks pretty decent (there's a thread about it somewhere, I haven't tried it yet).

A couple of the Italian restaurants in Itae do a decent pizza, but the crust is inevitably soggy.

If you're looking for the kind of thin crust amazingness you get in the American Northeast, I don't think it exists in Korea.

Only one place in Korea has ever served what I would call quality pizza.......DiMatteo's in Hyehwa......It's gonna cost you 30,000 a pop though.

Strangely enough I prefer Pizza School. Not only is the price reasonable (cough cough Pizza Hut and Dominos) but it's not too bad.

Granted it's no Chicago pizza, but we have to make due with what we have, eh?

Costco's was my best by far in my 3 years there. Not saying there's not better though.

I always correct it to korean pancake. It's somewhere between a pancake and a omlette.

As for Pizza...the place across from W Gold Bar in Hongdae does decent italian style pizza for a reasonable price and they also sell by the slice. Much better than those half assed kebabs round the corner.

Pizzarium in Apkujeong and NokSaPyeong.

Southern Italy style pizza. Yum. Best in Korea, as far as I'm concerned.

I agree, especially the bulgogi pizza.
