Open Office and HWP are both basically the same, in that they cause formatting issues.
Someone send me a doc file which I have to edit, and send back. Open Office fails to allow me to edit it and have the person on the other end receive it in its orginal form. |
I've been using OpenOffice for years and have never had that problem.

I've been saving files in RTF and in DOC format and no problems.

I succumbed to "the dark side" some months ago and have been using HWP for some things. The version I have is 2007 while my school has 2005. The older version rots and so far, I'm still on the learning curve for 2007.
It just occurred to me that you may be discussing problems from older versions of the OpenOffice.org software. The latest version is 3.2.1. |

| I gave up on it about a year ago, so it may well have improved since then. Don't see any point going back now that I have MS Office installed though. |

| Microsoft Word, Open Office and others of its kind can not understand the complexities and intricacies of hangul. HWP allows Korean creativity to blossom to its sparkly fullest. |

Yeah, it dynamically changes half the words you spell into Hangeul because why would you be typing using the non-scientific, inferior Roman alphabet? |
