If anyone needs to examine how low the caliber of foreign teacher is, in SK.. look no further than the KRAZE litmus test. Having lived here for 8years, 100% of foreigners I've met (over the years) have pronounced it "CRAZY BURGER".

Firstly, it's CRAZE burger. Craze, as in fad! Secondly, it's cool to turn the C into a K. That gives it kind of "cool" credibility, or at least, a younger image.

Secondly, this sh*t joint is actually going global.. no comment except two words - CYWORLD USA. That's right. Except CYWORLD USA lasted longer than kraze burger will.

It's not "Craze" burger as in "The latest burger craze". It's 크래지 (cuh-ray-gee) buger... as in saying "crazy" with a strong Korean accent.

Plus, it's not nearly as popular as it was a few years ago, according to my friend.

I agree about dumb foreigners, although maybe the people who say "crazy" are saying it that way because they think that given the name is already gimmicked up with the K, that the E is meant to be used like this- "Kraz[e]-e" except they neglected to add the hyphen to the name.

Edit: Oh, and what the person above said. I've never personally seen a Kraze Burger.

You're both wrong! It's 크라제 burger. Like craw (as in -fish) and je (sounds like jay).

All of you are wrong. Its pronounced "Kuh Rlah Jeh". The 2nd syllable is pronounced with an "ah" like when the dentists tells you to open your mouth "ah".

Yeah, without ever actually having consulted a Korean person on the matter, I was 100% convinced that "Kraze" was some stylized spelling of "crazy". Maybe I'm not correct, but I'm far from dumb.

Exactly like SFUNZ mall near Haeundae beach is pronounced and meant to be a stylized spelling of "sponge".

Such things used to make me cringe. I don't give a flying fig these days.

The OP shows how very low caliber he is by worrying about an absolutely stupid and unimportant subject! If you go back home, I bet you move back into your mom's basement!

Not that I care, but since I had 10 minutes to waste before leaving for work, here is the website's FAQ page. Please see how "Kraze" is spelled in hangeul. http://www.kraze.co.kr/community/faq.asp

"크라제 버거"

So all foreigners out there, please say, "keurahjae beogeo" or who knows what "crazy" conclusions others will jump to regarding your intelligence.

Koreans pronounce a Z like a J. Furthermore, they don't use j as patchim, so they would ad the "ee" sound.

I've never bothered to try them and I don't care how people pronounce them. I also don't care for people who use the words "dumb" and "foreigner" in the same sentences over and over again. After all, when you point a finger at someone, you've got your other three pointing back at yourself.

When you decide to call other people dumb, you should first verify that your reasoning is correct. As several others have pointed out, it is in fact "크라제 버거" which is closer to "crazy" than "craze." Congratulations, OP.

Ah, silly me. This whole time I thought 'Kraze' was another way of saying overpriced!
