I've been at public school for 2.5 years and have quite a bit in pension. I am going home at the end of my contract. However, I am returning 6 weeks later for a University job that doesn't provide (national) pension.

Question 1: Is there any way to claim a pension refund with a two-way ticket? (Or any tricks to get around this?)

Question 2: If I am unable to claim my pension now will it just continue to sit there until I decide to collect?

Question 3: If I can collect it down the road how do I go about it? My ARC card and number will likely be different and I will have turned in the old one.

Question #3 - Actually for the many years and contracts here in Korea - My ARC number has always been the same.

To be on the safe side why not make a scan of your present ARC Card. So if you need proof you can show it!

1 = yes provided you are NOT returning on the same E2.
2 = yes.
3 = Your ARC number should remain the same. Keep a copy of your card (scan and e-mail it to yourself) if you are uncertain, changing provinces or have any concern that you may have/will have forgotten it by the time you go to collect your pension.
