Ah, I see, it's because people calling themselves Tea Party members called around saying anti-Jewish things to boot one Republican and get another Republican elected.
In the same line of thinking, here's an example of American values.

Or maybe we shouldn't take the opinions of some members of a group to indicate the philosophical standpoints of the whole. It could go either way. |

True. but when it happens repeatedly as I point out earlier it is a little alarming. Also, when the rise of the movement corresponds to the start of the presidency of the first African-American president, and seems to use a lot of coded racist language ("taking back the White House" - from who? for who?), and doesn't publicly denounce racism in many cases, it's a definite cause for alarm. I'm not saying every Tea Partier is racist, but I'm saying racism is a motivating factor in the rise of the Tea Party/Parties. |

As Fat Elvis said, it happens more often than not. I could spend all day posting examples, but I have to work soon.
The Tea Party as it stands has very little in common with libertarians other than the fact they dont want to pay taxes. |

... and so I now see, maybe summarized best by the last sentence above. Thank you, all, for clarifying this for me! |
