I mentioned this in another thread but I would like to bring it to everyone's attention. As a disclaimer, I have no disillusions that I am smart or anything as I'm really rather stupid; that said, could we ('we' as in 'you that do it') please stop replying to posts/threads with '+1'?
It contributes nothing to the discussion at hand, and, quite frankly, makes you look like an idiot. Don't agree? Well that is what I think, last time I checked I was entitled to my own opinion.
Other topics for discussion in The Anti-+1 Front's bi-daily meetings are:
- People that reply to posts/thread with nothing but smileys.
- People that make a statement in an OP, then end it with 'Discuss'.
- People that do rubbish like '/thread'.
- People that are not bald or balding but continue to shave their heads.
- Why Bad Boy Bubby is a great movie.
These are all pressing matters, and I urge you all to join The Front (otherwise known as TF, or TA+1F) as soon as possible. In the future we shall have live face-to-face meetings where I, as the Supreme Emperor of The Front, will accept donations and tacos from you in return for uniting us (soft-shell tacos only please, that hard crumbly nonsense will end up in the trash and result in you being expelled from The Front).

I agree with you, and rest assured there is no reason to hesitate. I understand your concerns about having a wife that keeps you busy, and worrying about what your coworkers may think. As you said though, 'Life is short but long in the living', and I think that I can speak not only for myself but for all the members of The Front when I say:
Yes. Yes, it is.
As for your question about book trading at our meetings, forget about it. You can do that in your own time, sorry to be so harsh, but we take these things seriously.
And yes, my favorite color is black, good guess. We could do with some good guessers such as yourself batting for our team, so to speak. |
