|
On the Korean consulate website it states: "Must submit a Police Certificate or Criminal Record Check issued within the last 6 months only by RCMP or Municipal Police in BC, AB, SK, Yukon, NT"
At the RCMP office they inform me there are two types of Police Certificates - Name Search and Fingerprint. As a Name Search is processed instantly, and the latter taking months to process, I would like a Name Search.
However, nowhere on the Korean website does it specify which form of the Police Certificate they accept. Only the Finger Print method or both?
Before spending 50$ I was wondering if anyone could confirm this, and whether the new E2 changes (2011) had any impact on this matter.
Many Thanks,

Yes, but the RCMP fingerprint check can also be issued in 3 days if you get digital fingerprint scans, rather than ink ones. If the RCMP office isn't equipped for digital, there are plenty of private companies that can do it and send them to the RCMP for you. Your completed check will come back in a few weeks, instead of many months. |
