Do they just shred all the paperwork they receive?

My director says immigration wants yet another copy of my diploma with an apostille in order to renew an E-2. This will be the fourth freaking copy of my diploma given to immigration.

They have more than 10 of mine on file. Each one was embassy certified.

They still require a new one every time I make a change.

They are ALL in my immigration file (it is getting pretty thick now).

They DO keep the hard copies on file as well as the computer copies.

Huh? I'm pretty sure I've always got mine back from immigration. Just a few months ago, I went with a copy I used in 2005 to get my first visa. No problem. This time, though, they scanned it and said I don't need to bring it again. This was in Mok-dong.

Over the period of ten years, they've had me submit 5 times. Twice in Daegu, once in Suwon and twice in Jeju.

You should have made this a poll.. lol.

They return originals but if you used a copy they would have kept it.

They have been scanning them for a number of years, but they likely don't know what they're doing. Shortly after they started scanning documents, one girl showed me. "Look, we have your diploma from First Citizens' Bank!"

All nice but how many times do they need transcripts? My university is not happy now, I have had to get them 6 times.

My grades will not change but my University are now stating clearly that they have no obligation to keep supplying me. Indeed they have suggested I get a copy of their stamp & do it myself.

I have had to pay 50 pounds (sterling) each time & now it seems I will have to resort to forgery due to immigration being retarded. To stay in Korea is not an option - not due to transcripts but mental well being.

Bless the E2 process.

I ordered 30 copies 6 years ago. Still using them now. I even give them a spare copy each time just in case they fail to open it properly or something. Rolling Eyes
