Hi,

Has anyone experienced either or both? I have 3 days available at the end of January. Can only do one of these places. Going with my girlfriend. Looking for somewhere with good beaches.
What are the pros and cons for both areas?

Only 3 days? Do Phuket. Stay at Karon beach if you want really clean water and nice sand. Head into Patong if you want nightlife.

Phuket has more frequent flights in. It can be a bit expensive for Thailand but for only 3 days, no worries.

i haven't been to krabi, but i found phuket to be rather sleezy. although the beech near us was alright and there were some nice islands nearby.
