I'm going to be moving to this area very soon, so I'm curious to get any recommendations about this area. Good restaurants, bars, gyms, etc?
Any advice is appreciated. |

I used to live there. It's a decent area. Not much in the way of a destination place, but there's no shortage of coffee shops (there's actually a quite nice, and underused, Starbucks there), and eating in the area. There's a VIPS (yuck!), and E-Mart, plenty of Korean restaurants, and a bit of shopping here and there.
If you're near the subway station then you also have access to a bike path that connects to the Han River bike path. The best thing about Guro Digital Complex area is that you're on the Green line which will quickly get to you other areas. |

I live in the area. There is not much to see or do. it's crowded and that street is one of the busiest in Seoul.
There are a few good restaurants around, but mostly it's all Korean food. The area is lower income and very ethnic Korean. By this I mean, there are not many foreigners or much in the way of Western/European influence or ammenities.
Boramae Park is close by and beautiful and Boramae Hospital is close(the English clinic was closed when i went but several of the doctors speak perfect English and were helpful.
I am leaving this area after a year, but my first year here I lived in Heywha so it was not a fair fight.
OP what school are you going to?
P.S. the Mandoo place by the Subway is phenomenal. There is a CT Lex 1 stop away on the 150 bus at Ghumcheon Post office and also both Sillim and Sindorim are both 2 stops away on the subway or 5-8 mins by taxi and both have tons of things to do and places to eat |

I'm not going to be working there. I work a short subway ride away and it is a convenient location for several things in my life. |
