This is a great place to settle down: get yourself a little pad overlooking Halla mountain and the south sea, enjoy the beaches in summer and the hiking in the relatively warm/merely cool winters (14 C on many December afternoons), and take short flights to Seoul or Busan or Shanghai on occasional weekends away. I tell myself I'll stay on Jeju for a maximum of two more years, but every day I feel more... settled here. |

This thread has aged nicely. Merlot. He was one of the cooler posters back then. I think he went off to Costa Rica or somewhere like that. |

Wow. Well, aging quite nicely is good news, for a ... Merlot. And, I guess, instructive for the topic of this thread, no less.
Hope he's having a good life, wherever he has settled, lol. |

They aren't going to let you Louis, but I go along with your main sentiment which is there are some really nice places in the bando. |

Home is where I lay my hat. It sure as hell ain't the city I grew up in.
That's where I am now, and it's no place to settle down. |
