Hello...here is a blog with some Public School winter camp lesson plans, and links to ppts and material for camp. Thought it might be useful for new teachers or long timers who want some different ideas.

Cheers gents...it never hurts to run your eye over a different ppt or plan...I thought to do it purely because I have run out of good ideas for my own camp this year!

Thanks for the really good info. I appreciate it. Unfortunately, my school's computer nanny is blocking me from downloading roksteady's PPT files.

Any ideas on how to download this stuff? I tried to use a proxy server (hidemyass.com) but I still couldn't make it work (I'm a computer dummy).

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah...because Mediafire is technically a P2P site...a lot of Public Schools have it blocked. If your IT teacher is decent....you can have it un-blocked. If not...you'll have to download them at home and bring them in to school on a USB. Sorry!

Aha. I see. I don't have a computer at home, so I'll try my nice computer lady at school, but...... she: "English no have."
Thanks.

Bugger...maybe a PC Bang. If you live anywhere near Suwon I'd be happy to chuck the files on an old USB and give them to you.

Thanks so much Burndog. But I live way down south - way out in the rice - fields. I'll try and download them (someway) at school. If not, is their any other way they can be sent to me (email????).

Good luck.

Hey oldfatfarang...did you sort it all out, or do I have to make a rollicking journey through the rice paddies of the interior?

Sorry I didn't get back to you. I didn't manage to download any of that stuff.

I've been busy thrashing out lessons for my 20 days winter babysitting (no co-teach and zilch money for the kids). Just a hodge podge of dumb downed lessons and activities. I'm not even sure if I can get a computer that will play games.

I really wanted to have the kids write, act, film, and produce their own mini-movie, but their co-teacher scuppered that. Same old story: everything's a problem, can't do anything different etc.

In the end they gave me 1.5 days to come up with a 'camp', so it's a bit of a mess. I just can't look at that stuff today. I've only got tomorrow to sort it out, and then I start baby sitting on monday.

Good luck with it all.

Sorry to hear that mate...sounds like a real mess!

It looks like you'll be going for the old hangman, Simon says, statue game super special!

If you need any ideas let me know...I'm deskwarming tomorrow...and could probably think of a few activities if it would help.
