At those wages the ones most eager to apply will be the foxes interested in watching the henhouse! so... expect a few guards to be fired/accused of inappropriate behaviour!

At the very least it should mostly eliminate the burberry men. That's a high price to pay for that.

As usual security guards in Korea dont do jack-shoot to anyone for anything, I have little faith.

Not exactly true...a lot do whine and complain if you so much as accidentally drop a single bottle cap into the wrong garbage container...going so far as to call up your school the next morning and go on a ten minute rant/whine about it.

And then ever after when they see you taking out garbage, they get up and watch like a hawk from the nearest window.

I have never lived awhere with a secuirty guard, bu if I did, I wouldn't put up with ther crap. Especially considering they are paid by your maintenance fee. They are not your boss, in fact quite the opposite.

It provides jobs more than anything else.. there are plenty of CCTVs set up around the schools and country as well.. by the year 2020 there will be CAMERAS EVERYWHERE. you wont even be able to get away with farting in public without someone knowing.

I don't put up with their nonsense either...which is why they stay inside to watch rather than going out after the first time. It's just annoying when they give your school regular updates on it. And then your co-teacher who you've no problems with is caught between them/administration and you.

My security guard just takes my trash from me when I go outside. Maybe he thinks that the foreigner can't figure it out. Either way, I thank him, and don't have to go into the trash shed.

Isn't security supposed to be the job of Groundskeeper Willy?/ The discipline officer?

I don't mind the idea of a security officer. Just take the crossing guard ajumma and have her on guard duty/truancy/trash patrol.

She can deal with perverts like the old lady does at 1:42 of this video
