Hello all

I'm actually writing on behalf of a friend who is still in America.

She and her boyfriend both applied to a hagwon hoping to work together. They went through a very difficult visa process (he had to return to Britain as he is not an American citizen). The employer assumed that she would get the visa last Wednesday and stupidly booked the flight for Saturday. With Christmas, she did not receive it until Friday, and when she contacted her employer to confirm, the employer told her that they did not have an available position for her.

She offered to pay for the flight, which is a bad idea.

He boyfriend, as far as I know, is still scheduled to work there.

So, what about the visa? Since she never started the contract, would she have to redo the entire process?

Anyone have recommendations for jobs in the Songpa area?

Thanks in advance!

Her employer is legally obligated to cancel the E2 visa by two weeks. Once that's done, she can seek a new employer and reapply for a new visa. Cool

hey, if your friends are still interested, my school is looking for a couple for mid feb. we're in Hanam-si, which is the city directly east of Seoul. not exactly Seoul, but pretty close.

Just thought I'd through that out there Smile

I personally wouldn't want to still work for a school that did that to my significant other. They should both find different placement.
