...the day?

Honestly, before our 'intensive' period, I never drank coffee in my life.

Now I need 4 to be a functioning human being.

Intensives+(unwanted)Overtime= Rolling Eyes

I usually drink 3 cups of coffee, but they are quite large. Comparable to Starbucks Grande I guess. I don't have a busy life or need them to get through though, I just drink it because I like coffee.

Well it depends on what you mean by cup. If you actually mean an 8oz serving of coffee... oh man. I have a Starbucks tumbler that, I would say, holds about 20 oz. I drink at least 3 of them a day. If I don't have my coffee in the morning my coworkers can immediately tell. I am not a nice person to be around if I don't have my caffeine.

An Americano is a type of coffee, not a word for coffee per se, I believe.

I don't need coffee to function.
I never was an addicted drinker. In my Uni days I drunk it all the time because I was always in coffee shops. that was the thing to do. Hang out in coffee shops. I also worked nights in an Italian restaurant , and the hardcore Italian owner was always drinking short Espresso's so I got into that too.

then years went by where I was just a social coffee drinker.

but the past 3 years I have gotten into it big time.
every morning 1 cup before I leave the house or first thing when I get to work.
second cup around lunch time. and then another one in the afternoon If I feel like it.

I try to drink quality coffee as well . fresh roasted and grinded coffee for lunch and afternoon.
Morning what ever is going.. MIX coffee usually.

so I guess 3 a day.
2 quality, 1 crap.

I don't drink it because I am tired. I drink it because I like the taste.
of course I do feel the perk.

if you're only drinking coffee for the boost or buzz

then you're better off with 박카스

it's cheaper and more effective...

I drink 2 cups in the morning. Starbucks is wake up fuel. It's so pleasant to sip a hot mug of the bux with sugar and cream upon waking. If I ever have a sig other, she has to get up 10 minutes earlier to brew my coffee! And then make me breakfast after having my clothes clean, pressed, and ready to wear. Laughing

i love the taste of coffee. when i was student teaching, every teacher needed their coffee. so i tried to avoid it for that reason, i didn't want to become dependent on coffee to function.

but i find myself sleeping LATE in korea at times. sometimes at 4am, wake up at 730. i started drinking it last semester but then cut it off recently. i also smoked a cig with the coffee (awesome combination) but i also cut out the smoking. woohoo.

I drink about one glass of water a day, that tends to get me through the day.
I don't even need to go to the bathroom the whole working day.

Based on that knowledge, I am objectively better than all of you.

Americano is espresso topped up with hot water in a larger cup. It is common throughout the world.

I used to drink machiato (espresso with a little hot milk) but have recently got back into double shot lattes. Easier to explain.

I usually have two or three of those a day. I have noticed that after the third one I can become impatient and short tempered, so I have tried to cut it out.

I can't afford to buy coffee at shops with any regularity. Back home, I worked in a bank and we put out these huge coffee carafes for our customers. I drank 5 or 6 cups black, a day. I used to drink the coffee at school, but all the sugar is just.... bleh.

So now I am drinking roughly 4 cups of extremely potent macha throughout the day. I mean it is thick as hell and looks as though it were fished out a bog.

I do drink copious amounts of sugar/coffee on the weekend. Having something to look forward to gets me through the week.
