I was told to come in for a week in February, and that was it...
Do you teach classes during graduation week in February? If so, do you review the book, or just do fun activities? |

I create my own activities which focus on things my kids will have trouble with when they return in March. Mostly grammar issues. The textbook I use assumes that the students have a firm understanding of something and I focus on what they need to continue as best they can.
For me, my kids suffer grammatically and if it was not memorized, they're lost. I spend this time teaching basic grammatical rules (in a covert operations way) to better prepare them for the next school year with me. The book moves too fast for my kids and covers too much material.
I teach at a middle school and 95% will go to technical high schools.
For my middle school 3's, if they show up, I do games and activities that have a global theme. |

Movies, or free time. Anything else will just be ignored, unless your lesson is super interesting, which is hard to do for those graduation week classes. |
