Just wondering if anyone has tried Perioe Sensitive Toothpaste...I gotta take care of this crown I got. Normally I use Sensodyne, but I haven't found it in Seoul anywhere.
Or please recommend any other brands! 고마워요^^ |

| I usually buy Colgate on Gmarket or Auction.co.kr. Sure its expensive, but I don't mess around when it comes to dental hygiene. |

| All I know is that all Korean toothpaste comes in a huge box but when you actually see the tube it is super tiny. Just like the 1000 won snack bags that are full of air in the potato chip bags! Koreans are so used to being deceived by the large package/small actual size of the material. |

Sensodyne is awesome!
I had cold sensitivity and that toothpaste made my teeth feel like it had novacaine in them all day long. Great stuff! |

Blatantly not a Korean exclusive thing. This is the same everywhere.
I remember watching Walkers Crisps in England get bigger in size, and the net weight decreasing. It's about half it was ten years ago and the bag is about double in size. Now there is just a pathetic scattering of one or two crisps at the bottom of a huge air-filled bag.
Also, My toothpaste I have right now which is Korean came in a box that was just big enough to keep the tube inside. Like most toothpastes. |

| I can't remember the brand, but I tried Korean toothpaste before and it tastes foul. It's not minty like western toothpaste but sweet and weird. |

I checked the E-Mart website and it has Sensodyne, so maybe your local E-Mart has it (look for 센소다인).
Gmarket has it as well. |

Homeplus def has Sensodyne, 2 tubes for about 10000,IIRC. There is another Korean brand, Bukwang SirinMed, that has white and green packaging. One side of the package is all in English, so its easy enough to locate. I use it and its been fine.
Although some Korean toothpaste dosent contain fluoride, most does and if you can read hangul look for,'Pulso' or 'puloro-hwa-naturum'(sodium fluoride), sorry no hangu on the laptop. |

Unfortunately, most of them do. Sodium fluoride is both unhealthy and unecessary. It's bad in eliminating iodine and can cause hypothyroidism.
HYPOTHYROIDISM TYPE 2 by Dr. Mark Starr is an excellent read.
BTW, there is no fluoride in Mainland European tothpaste and their teeth are just as healthy as Americans. |

Today, I found a toothpaste with no fluoride in it. It's called WICONI. I purchased it for 10,000 won at Moon's Pharmacy in Hannam-dong.

Wow, we made it 13 posts until someone mentioned the supposed evils of fluoride. Where's that thread about fluoride being used as a means for the government to control the masses. That one was right up there with the woman who was having electric shocks being sent into her apartment by her boss and observed strange rituals at the airport when returning home.
