Greetings...
I have two questions.
1. Where does one buy shoe laces in Seoul.
2. Are there any forty years plus teachers posting on this board? I am headed back to "The Land of the Morning Calm" next year and would like to communicate with my peer group (age group) I am in my mid forties, single and female.
Peace,
Kate |

you can buy shoelaces at any of the ubiquitous shoeshine shacks. |

Thanks...
I spent just over five months in Korea last year and other than laces in shoes I never saw a pair. People said "Check here, or check there" but I found nada.

Kate, here's a website for a group called "Over 40 in Seoul." They meet about once a month, and I haven't been to one since last November but they were good people. They usually meet for lunch on either Saturday or Sunday afternoon, and I think this is to encourage people to find ways to have fun that don't include drinking and carousing all night ... maybe I haven't made it lately cuz I was hungover?
This link will take you a webpage with a bulleting board.
http://www.webspawner.com/users/over40inseoul/index.html
The opening page of the website hasn't been updated in something like a month and ahalf, so maybe better to go directly to the bulletin board.

Feel free to pm me also when you get to Korea.
The shoelace thing hasn't been a problem for me, maybe cuz I buy cheap shoes that wear out before the laces do ... that's my story and I'm sticking to it. |

Yes, and I don't like the Korean age system. It makes me even older
Plenty of us round, just look for the walking frames.
Still crazy, still here. |

For your age, I'd suggest silk scarves instead. |
