you can mix it with anything. orange juice, grape juice, cider, coke, cherry juice, lemonade, pomegranate juice, even coffee! i'm currently mixing it with pomegranate juice with a splash of pom peach and white tea.

anyone have any awesome combinations to share?

Best mixer ever - soju and someone who isn't me drinking it. Sorry, mate, but it's not my cup of, well, soju. I can tolerate it with coke, though. Not so much with orange juice. I respect orange juice way too much for those shenanigans.

I just pound the entire bottle and chase it with banana milk.

Some stores sell tiny bottles of plum juice concentrate. I like to pour it directly into the soju and shake it up.

That's because soju is basically just watery vodka. It's a neutral grain spirit that doesn't taste like anything except alcohol.

Which is why you'd have to be really dumb to spend money on vodka in Korea when soju is so much cheaper.

Hehe.... I had one of those days yesterday. So after work I went straight to the family mart and bought a bottle of lemon gatorade and a bottle of soju. I went to the microwave counter where some guy was prepping ramen, and I chugged half the gatorade bottle. I then poured the soju bottle into the remaining gatorade, put the lid back on the gatorde and shook furiously. I then took a nice big chug of the mixture (which tasted great) and gave the ramen dude a big ol' smile. Best 3,900 won I've ever spent. Anyways, that how I mix my soju.

Tonic. One of those little plastic bottles of soju and a bottle or can (if it's Canada Dry) of tonic fit perfectly into a small water bottle and looks just like water. Perfect for long bus or train rides or in a movie theatre.

Beer. Surprisingly doesn't taste bad, though it's not anything special either. Does the job though, and nothing like mixing or chasing alcohol with alcohol lol.

This is when all you care about is getting really wasted. I had a Korean friend that only drank beer so whenever he turned his head I would pour soju into his beer. He never noticed until it was too late.
