Hello,

I was offered a PS position through a recruiting agency in the Chungnam region, not sure yet on specific city/school. It was for elementary/Kindergarten, 22 hours teaching, 2.3 won a month, rural stipend.

NOW, they lowered it to 2.1 million won, upped teaching hours to 25 and took away the rural stipend. Supposedly this came down from the ministry of education.

The recruiter contacted me and asked if I was ok with it and w/o really considering fully, I said yes. Have not signed anything yet.

But, he has sent me a contract via express post for me to fill out and then send onto the Korean consulate with my passport and application etc...

Am I pretty much stuck with taking this position now since he is sending/paying to send me a contract?

I don't really want to be in the Chungnam region, but initially went w/. it because of pay and vacation (both important). But, now thinking about it and stressing about lesson planning (I have no teaching experience), larger classes and the crap location, thinking that maybe I shouldn't accept this. Not sure where I stand legally on this and if I decide not to sign if it is just a moral/ethical thing or legal because he has paid to have contract sent...

Help! Starting to stress and not sure what to do!

Thanks!

Until you sign on the dotted line AND get your visa in your passport you are under NO LEGAL obligation to anyone (least of all some recruiter who pulled a bait and switch on you).
