I saw a movie with him in it once and the entire time he spoke English while his costar spoke Korean. So, every time they had a conversation, she would speak in Korean and he would answer her in English. It was very strange. |

How much Korean can he speak? Does he know the alphabet. I get around okay and I know most of the alphabet. Is that more, or less? Is the answer to this question debatable? Is he cute, but stupid? For an overeducated bookworm, that is often a good thing. That way he won't get the idea that he is smarter than me just because he's an extravert and I'm an introvert. |

I'm sure he was offered more than enough money to make the bad feelings go away. Let's face it, you're money making potential as an actor is limited (many try only a few make a living), on top of that it's slightly harder if you look Asian in the US. He's here to make money. |

Seducing Mr. Robinson? I actually enjoyed that movie. His acting was pretty stiff though. I'd still jump that man either way.
I'm going to say that yes, I do know more than him, but not by much. |

I'm so jealous of you right now. When I taught at an all girls' high school I managed to finangle images of him into a ton of Powerpoints in order to teach English conversation (yes really).
Curlygirl: So Daniel, what time are you gonna pick me up tonight?
Daniel: Gee babe, I'll be there as soon as I can.
Curlygirl: (swoon) Okay sweetie, whenever you get here is cool.
Daniel: Thanks babe, you're the greatest.
Ah, good times. |

I doubt it. It's sad how little I know. But I am really, REALLY lazy. Sometimes I lie about how long I've been in Korea when strangers approach me so they don't expect too much from me. |

Probably not.
I remember about 6 years ago his Korean was pretty crap. I'm probably better than he was then. But he's had a lot more vested in it (monetarily) than I have.. so I'd be very very surprised if he hasn't improved massively since then.
If he hasn't, he's an idiot. Or he's a hippie who hates money. |

I met some guy at a conference at Ewha once. Almost a dead ringer for D.H., and he COULD speak Korean. Nice guy, humble, and very into his work (teaching). The ladies in the audience could not get enough of this dude. |
