hey all, just about to make my first jump to Korea as a teacher.

I'm an avid health nut and take a mild regimine of natural suppliments (cinnamon, garlic oil, green tea antioxidents, fish oil, calcium/vD/vK) polisosanol).

They are all in pill form and in bottles. Will these be confiscated at the customs gate in the airport?

Searched for liturature on the subject but it is so vague.
Any advice would be great Smile

thanks.

Those are all legal here. I think it would be better if the bottles were new and sealed.

Suppliments are strictly banned. Supplements, however, are fine. Also, check the literature. You may be able to find some information there.

Yes. I bring in bottles of Centrum, Advil and Omega-3 everytime I come back from the States. That stuff is really expensive in Korea

Of course you can bring them and you should. For the past 6 months, your average small Korean pharmacy is now selling things like large bottles of Kirkland omega-3 capsules and Centrum or One a Day vitamins, but the prices are very high.

put it in checked luggage. if they ask you about it, Oh I totally forgot about those. I was in such a rush they must've dropped in by accident...
I take no responsibility for any consequences of such actions, btw... enter big crocodile smiley emoticon here

Very high is an understatement. A bottle that costs about $20 in the US will cost you 60 here for the same bottle.

It's not that bad if you check out Costco. That being said, if you bring bottles, I'd leave them sealed.

I brought a years worth of vitamins and fish oil pills in my hand luggage with no isssues - I was worried they might want to dig them out and make sure they're not anything illicit but it was fine.

Tip for packing - I find that most vitamin bottles you buy are only half or two-thirds full. Top them up with another bottle and you're halving the amount of space they take up (they're hardly massive anyway, but hey!)
