Is it just me, or does anyone find that Korean's don't really express their road rage any other way other than honking their annoying horn? I haven't seen any bird flipping or cussing from a moving car since I got here.
I would personally prefer people flipping each other off, instead of interrupting my sleep at 3:00AM

Really?
I've been on a few buses where the drivers have demonstrated some pretty intense road rage. It was kinda funny, though. One was cussing and speeding up (pretty fast and recklessly) trying to ride the bumper of the car that just cut him off. Then, when he caught up to him, he switched lanes and got on the side and starting saying something in Korean to the car. Then the passenger side rider in the car just flips off the bus driver and speed off.
It was great!
Bus drivers though seriously have issues with road rage at times. Who can blame them driving 7 hours a day in KOREA?!! |

Its the perfect way for Koreans to express rage. You don't have to actually confront the person or even look him/her in the eye. You can express your toughness safely behind your wheel! |

While Koreans defianetly exhibit road rage, blowing the horn is not usually the way they do it. Blowing the horn here means one of several things. Either get out of my way cause im coming, let's go, or watch out. Aditionally, blowing your horn at someone yields no results here cause people are so use to hearing it and think nothing of it. |

It seems every third driver here has some sort of novelty horn too. I'm waiting for one to blast 'Dixie'. |

It's not just Koreans, come to Bangkok it's just as bad. Last time I was in the USA, americans were getting rude and horn heavy. I think the new generation of people in the world are just assholes. |

I've had bus drivers honk at me when crossing the street while the pedestrian light was green.
Maybe they thought I was hot but I think they were in a horn-happy pissed-off mood. |

Actually one time I was having a bad day, and I was just walking down a busy municipal street in Korea, and this taxi is honking at me, but I am not really in it's way, so I give him the finger.... but when he rolls up next to me, my grandma's friend comes out of the taxi and tells me to hop in....let's just say the rest of that taxi ride was fairly awkward... -_- |

On my bike my finger is always on the horn, and I use it about 10 times a day. It's really the only way to let people know you're there, since no one checks blind-spots and everyone lurches into intersections.... |

I flipped off a cabbie once for nearly killing me. He tried to make a left turn around me just as I was making the turn! He followed me for three blocks, passed me in my lane, (he had to force me over, I was on my motorbike) stopped in the middle of the road and got out to yell at me. |

I think Korea is pretty tame compared to many countries ...even several European countries. |

my #1 beef with the "drivers" here is the way they acknowledge bad behavior, and try to excuse themselves with the hazards.
Riding my bike is like running the gauntlet- even on the sidewalks. Once I was crossing the street at night and some Gyopo (or Korean with a damn good accent) yells that I'm an @$$#*13 because they couldn't speed down the street. |
