|

Approximately. My boyfriend's already been placed in Masan, and I'm thinking of accepting a job on Geoje Island. Is the ferry to Busan the only way to get to the mainland from the island? I've found a few threads about this but all seem to be out of date, mentioning a bridge that was planned to be built in 2009..
Any clarification or help would be much appreciated!
Additional info: I'm 22, generally prefer cities but like nature too, want to live in a place that has at least some other ex-pats and maybe offers access to some of the comforts of home, and want to be within an hour of my bf in Masan.
Thanks! |

Roughly 1 hour to Masan by bus from Geoje Gohyun Bus Terminal, 1 hour 20 minutes to Busan West (Sasang) Bus Terminal.
And no, you don't need to take a ferry anymore, thanks to a new bridge completed recently. |

The bus to Masan will take about an hour. It goes directly to Masan / Changwon (sometimes stopping in Tongyeong to pick up people there)
The bus to busan also takes an hour, it goes across the new bridge, avoiding all towns and cities it used to have to go through before the bridge opened in December.
Geoje is great, I first moved here at the start of 2007. If you have any questions with regards to your school / location etc then just let me know and I will answer them. |
