Hey there. Had surgery a few months back before coming to Korea, (here a month now) and have been steadily using Mederma to heal my scar which has been working great. Primarily using it to fade it out so its not so ghastly.
Unfortunately I misplaced it all and am hoping to find the Korea equivalent of Mederma, anyone have any pointers or advice for me? I'm in Seoul and my Korean is terrible at best, any reccomendations would be great.
Thanks! |

I'm glad you are having success using Mederma. I am also using it for a little surgical scar under my eye, recently incurred thanks to a beer bottle. (and, I was a completely innocent bystander in the matter)
It's easily available in Thailand, costs 750 baht (fairly pricey, that's 25 bucks) for a 20 g tube.
I'm here for another week, will be back in Korea for start of new school year. If ya want, PM me and I'll purchase one for you and ship it to you in Korea if necessary etc.
(my karmic Buddhist good deed for the month) |

Contractubex FTW, period.
It's a German import actually, manufactured by the same company as Mederma, although Contractubex contains Heparin.
There are indeed local copies such as Scarbex, but plastic surgeons in Korea are known to prescribe the original brand after surgery even though it's relatively pricey. Prescription is unnecessary, though. |
