Good luck. My friend blew his brick a couple of years ago. He got one at yongsan for
if I remember correctly 70 000 won or so. Maybe you can get it cheaper. |

Thanks. Just got back. They basically told me they don't sell bricks and I'll have to go to Microsoft.
But, fortunately, I was able to register for warranty protection the other day (the original owner had never done so) so it looks like MS should replace the brick for me. It's just going to take a while to get here, so Marvel vs Capcom will spend some time taunting me with its nonplayability. |

| I bought a Korean power brick for my US xbox at the Yongsan Electronics mall back in September or October. It was like 30,000 won. You don't have to go to Microsoft. |

For what it's worth, the US Xbox adapter should be able to handle Korea's 220v without a problem (meaning you dont need a converter). Most modern electronics have 110v~220v on the the plug, which means that as long as the plug fits, it should work. You can buy the plug adapters for really cheap, like 300 won.
Or you can get a cable that has the Korean plug on one end, and has the standard power computer power supply plug on the other. Shouldn't cost more than 3000 won or so. (This is how I'm running my US Xbox)
How would I know? I majored in Electronic/Computer Engineering.
Hope that helps! |

Microsoft only charged me 39,280 anyway. So it wasn't that bad.
I should hopefully get it today or tomorrow. |

I got it off Play-Asia. US version. Works great. (And in English, natch.)
And thanks to all the helpful people in this thread. With the new power brick, the console works great. That was the only issue. |
