Anyone here know where I can find some gays who are great wordsmiths?

It's for a little project I'm working on... nope, not EPIK related Laughing

I need to take about 10 generic terms and "gayicize" them.

As an ostensibly straight man who has contemplated gay actions from time to time and who has been exposed to a plethora of gay stereotypes in both living people and TV personalities I'd like to offer my services of wordsmithery.

I have a few questions about this project first, though.

Are you looking for gay men or gay women? The stereotypical lexicon varies greatly between the two so you should probably specify. And what about bisexuals?

I've run across a few openly gay posters Dave's but perhaps they are not stereotypical gays and would not fit your purposes. Maybe you should have a kind of litmus test to determine who exactly fits your profile. I'd suggest something along the lines of a questionnaire mostly focused on fashion and gay sex techniques.

Why don't you post the terms here and let the Dave's community give it the old college try? Whoever's the gayest wins, right?

I love how people use the word 'lexicon' instead of 'vocabulary' when they want to sound smarter, even though it's less correct in the given context than vocabulary would be.

Globutron wins!

j/k

but really, please elaborate/expound/pontificate on the difference. I used it cause in my mind "vocabulary" means the words/expressions that an individual knows, and "lexicon" means the words/expressions that belong to a certain group.

Maybe I should have said "typical vocabulary?"

I was at a bar once and a gay couple was ordering beside me. The garnish on one of their drinks was a lemon, which was sort of small and dried up looking. He followed with "This lemon is skank!"

Do you mean take regular terms and make them gay?
What about a gay guy leaving his man via a "Queer John Letter"?
