Saw an ad online for a new build pc with these specs..
CPU: Intel Dual-Core Processor @ 3.33GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR2 800MHz
HDD: 500GB Seagate 7,200RPM SATA2
VGA: nVidia GeForce 8400GS 512MB VRAM with VGA/DVI/HDMI ports
Onboard sound, ethernet, and usb included.
Base price is 400,000 with some addons for more but it wouldn't exceed 500000. That is all the info that was in the ad... So, good price?
If it is reasonable, I'll probably get one. If so, what kind of questions should I ask and is there anything specific I should be looking for?

It's a good price for the tower. I'm thinking of getting something like that and buying a better video card later on. |

A bit expensive, but reasonable. It's a typical starter build. You can get something like that new at any small computer shop for 300 - 400k.
He is charging 20,000 extra for an optical drive.. That should just be included, you need one of those.
Not sure what your intended use is, but it won't play computer games. You could buy a better graphics card for $30.
It's gonna have a pirated OS on it. If you are cool with that then go for it. The CPU, HDD, and the RAM are decent. |

Hey, just as a follow up.. I'm considering buying the following pc online for 380000. good deal?
cpu: amd athlon ii x-4 640
Video card: geforce gt220 512mb
Ram: DDR3-4G
M-B: amd A780 LM-M
HDD: S-ATA2 500g
Thinking about it, I only really play football manager in terms of games that seem taxing on my pc. Would this handle it? The only problem with this one is that it is not changeable. In the ones with more options, the cheapest I can get with improved options comes to around 530000. That's with a better video card (GTS250) and a terabyte hard drive. |

also the power unit is 450w. The new egg power calculator says this is enough. there is an option to upgrade the case + the power to 500w for 60 bucks more. is the case that important? |
