This 'thing' exists because in The UK now everything of a public nature has to be done by committe and everyone involved has to have equal input and no-one else is allowed to judge anyone elses' input as invalid.

As you can imagine - this sucks.

It has crept into university life also. When we made films, even people with no ability had to be allowed to use a camera, edit, act etc, all for equal periods of time instead of every person having a role in production that actually suited their abilities. Whenever you met as a group with your proffessor supervisor, you had to hold an object during the discussion and whomever held the object could speak and no-ne was allowed to interupt and everyone's opinion was equally vallid etc.

Thus you had films that were a medly of mediocrity and lameness as they were made by committee and thus you have a logo for the next olympics which makes a nation look like an 8 year old schoolchild.

DAMN YOU LABOUR. DAMN YOU BLAIR.

This wouldn't happen if Paris got the final bid.

Doesn't it say "Zoin"?

Or possibly "Noiz", which is "Zion" backwards. That's antisemitic! Typical western media, always bashing Israel every chance it gets.

But seriously, it's a mind-control device. It is so shockingly repulsive, the brain can't handle it, so slips into a semi-trance state that allows the subliminal messages in the ads that follow to have maximum effect. Elementary.

Although partly designed to bring the world closer, the Olympics can sometimes bring out the worst in countries (and people). I give you Korea's gracious hosting of the Olympics in 1988. If only we could all just participate in this spirit. Confused
