Hey,

Im just about to buy an XBOX, and I'm sure this is a silly question, but is it easy to play COD or other games with your friends back home? One of my buddies back home said he wasn't sure how easy it is to change regions or whatever, so I just want to know before I buy one.

The main concern I would have is latency. Sometimes online games are hard with the folks back home.

As well, time difference is an issue, but not a dealkilling one.

In my experience playing COD:MW2 and COD:BO the lag is pretty bad sometimes when you connect to the US servers your friends are on. Or if they are connecting to your server, it's also pretty bad sometimes. To the point where you are almost a full second behind them and you don't stand a chance.

I play cod bo with my family here n there...lag is pretty bad but ive learned a few ways around it.
1. Try to get on a euro server...latency is 3 bars usually for me in korea and for family in canada. Put search on LOCAL then wait until it finds 50 possible matches. If u get thrown in a match quickly just leave fast n try again. It can be annoying but still cool to get to play lag free with peeps back home.

2. Change party search preference. Make it LOCAL ONLY...u wil be in asian groups and no lag most times. This is not good for north americans as they will get lag but great for playing solo compared to DEFAULT search.
