I am trying to get internet/cable/cell phone service and my co-teacher mentioned that if you combine your cell phone service and internet you get a discount or good deal on it. I was going to head to the SK store in Itaewon to get my cell phone service (i've talked with them before), now that I got my ARC card updated. My question is do these cell phone stores also handle the internet part of my request or is there some alternate way that I should be going about this? Thanks mucho. |

Okay so thanks for all the help guys haha, but I'll report back. I have KT actually not SK. Went there got a cell phone + internet + cable deal. Probably got hosed a bit, but it's honestly so much less than US stuff that I just accept it at face value. I went to the store out of station 3 in Itaewon.
Cell phone (KT)
Base plan - 12k
+500 texts 8k
+500 won/month for phone turned off call missed text notification
Voice is at 18won/10 seconds (yikes)
24,000 fee for something, split out over the first 3 months
5,500 one time fee for something
~After 6 months can cancel the contract etc
Internet/Cable
~50mb/70+ channels plan
~Approx 45k~50k a month
~1 year plan
Total paying about 75k a month.
20k = 180 minutes of talk time
I probably use 100-180 a month
So total will be about less than a 100k total a month
There are cheaper options definitely, but this is very hassle free and that is worth it to me. Example, you can get C&M internet+cable for $35k a month, but that is a bit slower than the KT option and you have to be in a 3 year contract.
The plans if you go for the three year are a bit cheaper, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of trying to get rid of my phone/contract to someone else, and especially the 3 year internet transfer would of been a super pain. |
