Dear all,
I was wondering if any of you could help me with a question I have about Jeju. How expensive is it to live there while doing a teaching contract for EPIK? From what I've read, living costs in South Korea are lower compared to the UK, but I've heard Jeju is a little costlier. Is this true? And if so, would I be able to live comfortably on the salary I would be receiving from EPIK? (I'd probably be entitled to 1.8-2.0 million WON salary)
Thanks very much, and nice to meet you all!

I don't live on Jeju, but unless it's double the cost of living in the middle of Seoul, you'll be quite comfortable. You have to remember that, even if the cost of living is the same as back home, you don't pay for housing here. No rent = much fatter wallet every month. |

Is it true that 900,000 won is considered an average standard of living in Korea? |
