I don't know? Maybe it's because it's not really that hard to put together a PC. I did it for a friend several months ago. We were in and out of Yongsan in less than an hour with everything we needed, and it only took 30 minutes to slap it all together.

I don't see how that thread warrants a greater amount of attention.

Buy the parts you need and put them together. If you don't know what parts you need, you probably shouldn't be building a PC.

It isn't just about buying the parts you need, it's about buying the parts you need for the CHEAPEST PRICE, as well as getting other opinions. High end computers (1 million +) go well with other opinions.

Steve Jobs earns $1 a year from Apple. His "real" income comes from his stock holdings in Apple, Disney (and its holdings), and Pixar, as do the earnings of millions of other investors.

So, if you want to keep money out of Steve Jobs' pockets, you'll have to avoid not only Apple, but also Disney and Pixar. Good luck with that if you have kids (or plan to).

Anyway, my point is that if you are not buying Apple products just so you can stick it to Steve, you're not really succeeding. He still makes plenty of money from Disney and Pixar, not just Apple.

Nevertheless, good luck with your quest.

Go to danawa.com or Enuri. You can very quickly and easily find the cheapest price for any part you might need. Again, I don't see why that topic needs so much attention (and I'm not saying that 22+ pages on this Mac/PC is not ridiculous, cause it is). It really isn't that hard to do.

Google some information and read some reviews of the latest hardware. Check with the sites listed above for the best prices. Buy the stuff you need and put it together.

Now, if it were a thread about overclocking, I could understand the need for lots of input and shared experiences. But, building a PC in Korea is not a difficult task for anyone who is pretty good with a screwdriver.

I will be overclocking. Also, do you know how many fracking VGA OPTIONS there are? And MOBO options?!

I know I want a p67 and a GTX460 1 GB...but there are so many to choose from. I'm also not quite sure how much power it would all suck.

My point is that there is a wealth of information available on Google, and a few hours there will give you better information than what you would probably learn on Dave's.

Really, who would you trust more, a dedicated hardware testing site or some guy on Dave's?

I know there are hundreds of VGA options, but unless you are doing some hard core gaming, just about any modern video card will work just fine. If you are doing gaming, then due diligence is required and that means scouring the gaming sites for comprehensive reviews.

There are also power consumption calculators online that will tell you what size power supply you need.

If you are really only after overclocking information, then maybe you should start a thread directly related to that, as it would seem a lot more useful than where to get the cheapest VGA card in Korea, when that information is so easily and readily available, and I'm sure would be appreciated by others interested in OCing their computers.
