I just saw the warning on the tv.
Supposed to be a smog and dust combo.

A Korean from my school told me I should wear a face mask for the dust. Do those things actually work? |

If you check with the Korean Meteorlogical Administration (kma.go.kr) you will find that last Monday the yellow dust in the air wasn't that high. What you were seeing was fog and pollution mixed. You will know when the dusts hits. |

That's right. There was almost nothing on Monday. Dust concentration increased a bit but barely exceeded the normal level. Also, it lasted for a short time. The problem is when it's high for several days.
This year so far there was one hit at the beginning of February 3, 4, 5 and 6th. It wasn't to heavy but lasted for 3-4 days. I'm sensitive for this crap so I got sick after that.
kma and airkorea will help you monitoring the situation, besides it's easy to see as well. Nothing serious yet. |

Right now any whangsa day is a good thing. As long as the wind is blowing off China we'll cough a bit but that's it. Don't know what I'll do if the wind changes east=>west |
