I know there have been mixed reports about the radiation dangers in Japan and how likely/unlikely it is to reach Seoul, etc., but just for my own peace of mind I would like to get potassium iodine pills. I went to a 약 and they said they didn't have any. Does anyone know where I could get some?

I saw some at Lotte Department store the other day. They were in the GNC. Don't remember seeing the price though.

Hey there. I started the same thread on off topic. You can order some from Amazon. You should have it within 4 or 5 days (most of my Amazon orders take that long). Also, another poster recommended seaweed. Kelp is really high in iodine.

The association said such worries were unwarranted at the moment. It noted that high levels of iodine are needed and that there are complications, such as allergic reactions in some people. Further, it is said that there is no chance of radioactive material reaching Korean soil, so taking high amounts of iodine may end up being harmful, the association said.

No chance.....? And the authorities wonder why people don't trust them when they issue ridiculous blanket statements like this Rolling Eyes

If you have nothing to contribute in regards to the OP's inquiry, please move on. Off-color comments about the situation will removed and sanctions will follow. Please discuss the topic as adults (I know, what a concept).
