Bohol: Ever been to Israel, mate?

Can you think of a single reason(give it a shot)why Israelis have become surly towards foreigners in the last 62 years?

Because they're God's Chosen People? Considering without 'foreigners', they wouldn't be in control of the land they are now.

Chicken and egg aruments, man. Chicken and egg.

Is it just me or is Jeju Island totally overrated?

Now let me defend myself first. I have been there twice for a total of 6 days. Both times we drove most of the island and saw many sights, both touristy and natural. I don' know it haf as well as someone like Louis, but I have seen a fair bit.

The nature is quite nice and it'd be a place I'd consider living if I were single. But as a tourist spot, I'll take a pass.

It is setup for Korean tastes. Not thatI blame them, as that's a majority of their tourists. But I hate traveling like Koreans.

There is a real lack of public transportation to get around the island. You have to drive. To me, that's a fail.

The public transport there is bad news!

And yes, it is totally overrated. Comparing it to Hawaii is a bit ridiculous!

Just like all god beaches in Korea, they're hrribly overcrowded in the short swimming season they allow.

The food was lackluster, so were most of the sights. Sure the teddy bear museum is eat and kinda cute but not something I seek out when traveling.

The bolded words: I suppose you want Koreans to make their country like America then?

The underlined words: it is a good thing you are not the only tourist in the world.

The italicized words: Rent a car, are you cheap?

There always ome people who are never content or grateful, they have to complain about everything in this country. I have been to Jeju-do, met wonderful people, had a great time, drove a car went to as many places as i could and did not think ill of the place.

It is a very good tourist destination it is just some people will never be happy because it isn't to their spoiled western tastes. Since Jeju-do belongs to Korea, they get to set it up as they see fit regardless of the western attitudes. i wish I could go back.

Wow, am I not allowed to have an opinion now?

Yes it is Korean style. Read my next sentence. I don't want American style, as I am not American. I would rather it be more internatiional style. A style that attracts a wider variety of people.

I did rent a car both times. I hate driving in Korea. I am not cheap.

I guess since I don't love their 'Hawaii of Korea' that makes me ungrateful? What a leap of logic. That's the only exercise you get, likely.

Sure you can but don't forget that there are millions of people who like Jeju-do the way it is an they are not all Korean.

Then it wouldn't be Korean now would it? And those people who come here to see Korea and the Korean things would greatly be disappointed

Well then I guess there is no pleasing you is there.

Why are you here if you hate Korea so much? (Jeju-do is too Korean; driving in Korea is too Korean, what next, you want them to change their food to be more 'international'?)

Re-read your comments, because everything you say you do not like will offend someone and makes you sound like you need the Korean people to do everything your way forgetting the fact that others happen to like it the way it is.

for example: "You have to drive. To me, that's a fail." Do you really know how long it would take to get to some places if you used a public bus? You would be complaining about that as well.

I was in Jeju and to tell you the truth it was great to drive around there for you have freedom and not held to a bus schedule.

Okay Adolf, I guess I am allowed to have an opinion, as long as its the same as yours.

If you look at the overrated/underrated thread, many people wrote Jeju Island as overrated. I never said it suked, I just said it wasn't all it's cracked up to be.

As far as bus vs car, why not have a choice? The island could easily support more publc buses.

I don't hate it here. When did I say that?
