I need to gt a visa for India soon, and am a Brit living in Korea.

From looking at the Indian Embassy website it looks like all Visa applications are done through another company: http://www.ttservices.co.kr/

Who don't inspire confidence when their site is full of spelling errors, I'm not sure if it's best to do it online, or visit them in person? Has anyone gone through this procedure recently that can add some advice?

I wouldn't mind paying for the express service but it mentions this is for Korean passports only. To be fair, the whole process seems to be geared more towards Koreans only rather than international folk. For instance I can't even see what my visa will cost, since I need a 1year business visa, this page doesn't help? http://www.ttservices.co.kr/VisaFees.aspx?Cul=en-US

I'll be calling them tomorrow, but would love to hear some feedback here too! I've never been before so ever sop slightly nervous about the whole trip to be fair!

...So rang the people at TTServices, apparently I can't apply for a visa for India here in Korea as I haven't lived in Korea for more than 2 years?

Why are they doing this to me? I just want a visa for India, I don't want 'Korea' to get in the way at all, it should have nothing to do with Korea?

Will try to ring them embassy but apparently I'll get told the same?

Jesus wept...

I went Busan to India while living in Korea less that two years. Just asked the travel agent in Seoul to arrange it and mailed my passport and was back within 7 days.

This page
http://www.ttservices.co.kr/VisaFees.aspx?Cul=en-US

clearly states the a Business Visa for upto 1 year costs 192,000 Won.

I am an indian but my wife isnt. She was on F-3 visa last year and got her Indian Visa through this TTS agency quite easily. My wife is from Philippines. Although this is not the first time she took an INDIAN visa.

Earlier, we lived in Singapore and it was quite easy to get as well. As long you have a residence status (Employed, Student, etc.) in korea, u shd be able to get the visa. However, u shd not be on tourist visa or something like that.

go for a six month tourist visa- these days never ask for any kind of special visa such as study or business. The Indian gov. is being really weird about visas now but you can easily get six month tourist visas for travel.

I'm not saying you're wrong but it clearly says there for Korean passport holders only. The other listed Fees are for tourists. Going as a tourist for the purposes of work isn't a great idea I don't want to jeopardise travel to other countries in th future (business or pleasure) and certainly don't want to have any problems with my Korean visa in the future!

I'm meeting the people at the embassy on Monday so will let y'all know how it goes Smile
