Anyone know of any Hagwon chains that teach Japanese?

Are you looking to learn Japanese in English or Korean?

I'm not too sure about hagwons which teach Japanese in English, but I learned Japanese for 4 months at Pagoda and they had a great program. The only thing is that they teach it in Korean.

If commuting becomes a deterrent, try learning online via Skype. I have used OLS and recommend them.

The Japanese instructors try to keep it an immersive Japanese environment but will explain to you in English if requested. But I'd consider a conveniently-located Japanese hagwon in Seoul that could teach in English when necessary.

Try to use the search function. I know it doesn't always work, but there was a thread on this about year or 2 ago. Someone listed like 4 or 5 schools that taught Japanese to non-Koreans in English. I remember one being near Coex but that's all I remember.

You could also try a language exchange or 1-on-1 if you can't find a class. Try posting on different forums and dating sites. There was a Korean site that I can't recall the name of right now. Not a dating site, but kind of a people meet site. People used to look for private English tutors and would make posts looking for students and language exchange partners. Wish I could remember that one.
