You guys think its a good laptop? Not looking to play a whole lot of games.. the only one that i can think of is probably civ5. NO FPS or MMO games.
I can get 2 extra gig by myself that won't be a problem.
The only thing is... is it worth it at that price?
Should I just go to Homeplus and get something similar nearly that price?
No netbook please hahaha. |

Im not saying they have the worlds best deals in there. But for somewhere thats easy to go to and you can look at them all in the flesh it's worth checking out. My local one has about a dozen to pick from (all full size)
And the specs are prominently displayed so no having to ask the assistant or try to figure it out.
You can see which has the best screen/keyboard/trackpad/numpad etcetc that you like.
But what you posted is fine. Strong CPU in there, but thats what I mean, that CPU deserves more ram to keep it happy, You could upgrade later easily yes, but get it right firs time Acer don't have the best build quality historically. But treat it right and you'll hopefully be fine |

| Cool... I'll head to Homeplus/emart and check it out. I've always had this notion that the laptops in supermarkets/ dept stores were way more expensive which is why I avoided them. If they have icore5 laptops for around that place or close to it.. I would rather get it from there then to hassle with Yongsan. |

I'd strongly suggest you check out an online Korean marketplace such as G Market.
I decided to skip a trip to Yongsan and picked up a Samsung laptop at my neighborhood Home Plus. It is a fine, if bog standard, computer. The problem is that me and the missus found the exact same computer online for nearly 120,000 won less than what I paid.
Bummer. |

If you're happy with the price you're happy with the price. Don't rub salt into your wound by shopping online afterwards |

Haha. That is basically what my wife told me, Sheriffadam.
My point isnt so much bellyaching as it is a PSA/caveat emptor: before throwing down won in a brick and mortar, check the big online retailers.
But, yeah, yer right: best to let it go. |
