HBO's Game of Thrones is debuting on April 17th (yeah!), but you can watch the first 14 minutes here: http://www.hbo.com/video/video.html?view=grid&vid=1170886&autoplay=true. I watched it and thought it was pretty good. Will it measure up to the books? Who can say. HBO makes some quality television, though.

Did you like the preview? Are you going to watch the series? Tell us what you think!

I need more..MORE...MOOOOOORRRRREEEEEE!

THey nailed some of the parts for sure. 006 (Sean Bean) as Eddard Stark is absolutely perfect.

I've been waiting for almost 2 years for this show. It looks like it won't let me down!

My biggest fear is we are going to make it to season 5 of this thing and Martin is still going be writing the next book, have a heart attack and croak. I read somewhere that all of his manuscripts ect are supposed to be burned in the event of his death so no one can complete the series. *sigh*

This looks great. A friend recommended me this series a few years back, I think I'll read the book before the show starts.
The only problem is I'll have a hard time not thinking of Sean Bean as Boromir Very Happy

I know right. Boromir, brother of Faramir. Son of the Steward of Gondor. (Who I just realized is totally Walter from Fringe!!!!!)
