The answer posted here to this question was ok, and then I also came across this in my study (in case it helps anyone else):
Like other helping verbs, such as -보다, -버리다, and -놓다, -(어/아)두다 "to keep/put away" is combined with another verb to indicate the "preservation" of the result of the main verb action, often for a future use. (See the helping verbs chart in L14, GN7)
봐 두다
=> "to see and keep the knowledge (for future use)"
배워 두다
=> "to learn and keep the skill (for future use)"
먹어 두다
=> "to eat (in anticipation of . . .)"
사 두다
=> "to buy and keep"

Which makes sense in the context of the sentence posted. |

I understand everything except the beginning. What does "지가" mean here? |

I have absolute no idea what 지가 means. However, after looking at the lyrics from that verse:
fiancee be I�m say
I�m walkin how to destiny
초라한 홀로가 아닌
화려한 솔로 that�s my way
모든 걸 다 줬으니
오히려 난 후회 안해
지가 더 슬픈 척
끝까지 멋있는 척
all you do is after fool you
ain�t shit what out your cruel
...I have no idea what most of the English words are supposed to mean either (I don't believe I know this song though). "All you do is after fool you; ain't shit what out your cruel"????? I mean, if a Korean just walked up to you in the street and said those words, how would you even respond? |

I think the source for your lyrics is inaccurate...
It should be:
fiancee beyonce
I�m walkin out on destiny
초라한 홀로가 아닌
화려한 솔로 that�s my way
모든 걸 다 줬으니
오히려 난 후회 안해
지가 더 슬픈 척
끝까지 멋있는 척
all you do is act the fool
you ain�t shit without your crew |

Yeah, as I mentioned I don't know the song lol. Gasazip usually has good lyrics, but for that song they're totally botched up. Some Korean dude transcribing as he thought the English words sounded?? |

By the way, 지가 is effectively a shortened of form of 자기가, which means "you" and is used when you want to be slightly impolite... |

You can use the name isopropyl alcohol
it's just konglish 이소프로필 알코올.
or rubbing alcohol is 소독용 알코올 |

i can't figure out if he's saying that it's like I adopted you, or emphasizing that he did adopt, or what exactly. |
