| Nah there's usually like, at least a week after getting there. They require you to get it within 30 days but it's not like they take you from the airport to the hospital or something. But still, you might wanna keep the BDSM to the lower half of the body for the time being. |

So to be blunt you are a male who engages in S and M type activities with another male from what is indicated in your post. You might want to consider hiding your orientation while you are in Korea because despite the clear evidence of Korea being a very homosocial society, it is also very homophobic.
If you know as many people from the Middle East and Central Asian Muslim countries as I do back home, you'll be struck by how similar some Korean attitudes to women are. Male dominated societies in every sense of the word, with an emphasis on how men's relationships with each other trump all, and marriage is primarily for having children.
Korea still holds those values despite its high tech achievements. If you're gay or bi keep it closeted because they will find a way to fire you if they know and there will be nothing you can do. I am a straight man without prejudice there - just stating the facts. |

Don't worry big fella. It's totally heterosexual. My "friend" is a girl.

What's "big fella" supposed to mean? You sound cocky, laddie. It was clear to me you were a male and from what you left unsaid it sounded like you were with another male. Each to their own.
Regardless, Koreans may very well think that your physical condition is sus. Don't be surprised if they have second thoughts about employing you. Teachers have been fired for trivial reasons in Korea. Including cocky attitudes. |

For our EPIK xray we (men) didn't have to remove our clothes. Just had to make sure we had a cotton shirt with nothing metal on underneath.
The girls had to take their tops off and put on robes, I guess because of the metal in their bras.
You should be alright I think |

I'm really not, actually probably the opposite. I'm sorry if it came across that way. I was just thrown off a little by your post. You were well intentioned and I actually do appreciate that.
Also sorry for the confusion. I hadn't really thought that it would read that way. I should have thought about that.
alikaz, thanks for the info. |

i wasn't sure based on your original post whether your partner was male or female but if pressed I would've bet on male.
I'm trying to think back on my x ray, and perhaps I wore a robe top also. However, to put that on, I know I had to take off my shirt and I remember the X ray techs giggling, undoubtedly about either my physique or my body hair. Odds are someone probably will see your marks and bruises if they're that obvious. |

| What, can't guys be into BDSM and not be gay? If that's true then you can call me General Queer McButtlove. |

Just say you use to do some intense hapkido/judo/BJJ back in the states. That way, you don't feel bad or ashamed for lying about your activities. |

| Just say that the bruises/bites/scratches are from a close contact sport like American Football or Rugby. |

To the OP, sorry man, I thought the 'big fella' bit was mocking. I thought your partner/playmate was a male because you didn't mention "My girlfriend" or "My woman" and I don't automatically assume people are in het relationships though I'm straight myself.
The rugby excuse sounds good - if you're Canadian you could play it and it's not unknown in the US. After all, gridiron evolved from rugby! Good luck with everything! |
