Nachos this is the best thread ever and of great import to all those who require Nachos at once... Where can I get good Nachos then? ,,, Taco Amigos... ok Mmm NAchos at taco Bell are all right too I guess the crux of thee cheeses is is it hot enuff. Koreans are a bit sad they go all wack over a bowl of yucky bland rice and raw abalone in a porridge form ... the you have the genius of the nacho - Americans are the masters of the tex-mex chubby foods.
Mex food in Korea is often so vile and twisted - twice I went to a Mex place in Korea and they put the Orange Freanch dressing on the food...
I think this summer or sooner I will go to Seoul again in which case you should all chip in and buy me nachos and may other food at this Taco Amigos Place - I will need some cute ESL ladies to tie my napkin and assure sing some romantic Spianish ballads while I eat lots of Nachos. PM if you can sing in Spainish well. |

Avoid Wolfhound nachos as well. Unless someone posts that they've been improved from their Cheez Whiz roots.
Rocky Mountain Tavern does a huge bake-up, but I don't remember there being many jalapenos. No guac either. Probably could just ask? Platter easily big enough for three or four.
Other than that...I haven't really tried nachos much around Itaewon.
Speaking of bad nachos, got a platter once ages ago that had slices of oranges buried inside. I don't think it can get much worse.
Edit: I should mention RMT does use chips straight out of the bag.

Get some Doritos at Songtan Main Gate or the Red Door in Itaewon. Add some cheese from Costco and whatever else. Nuke them. Should be great! |

Yaletown in Sinchon is a Canadian-owned/operated bar that serves GREAT nachos, amazing wings, and authentic poutine. Go there. Eat. Play pool, darts, or the crazy Thai hammer game. Staff all speak perfect English, as do most of the patrons (the Glaswegians almost count, too).

Wait a minute! did I just read that a Canadian owned bar has great nachos. Then the mention of poutine in the same post. No Canadian even knows what nachos are. If you truly understood nacho culture, the nacho desire you would never have mentioned the foul gravy in a thread about nachos. |

RMT for sure. The irony of consuming Tex-Mex food in a Canadian bar in Korea is not lost on me. |

There is a ton of nasty Mexican food in Korea, but none of it has compares to what has been done to the nacho. Raisins where olives should be, mustard instead of cheese, whipped cream instead of sour cream, sliced almonds, ice cream, etc. Koreans have done some shitty things to Western food but nachos have it the worst.
This is also one of the easiest Mexican foods to make at home. Costco and a toaster oven. |

No irony ! Canadians may do many things well> I cant really think of one, but I am sure that they should never ever be allowed to create some mess and bestow the sacred name NACHOs to it. Begone seal clubbers!! |
