Every time I see these airport rankings, I always wonder: what goes into them? What makes Incheon so good? The duty free shopping? What? |

Maybe for Incheon it's all the signs on the carts and the big sign you pass when you taxi to the gate that says 'A World Best Hub'.
I cringe when I see this phrase. |

Say what you will and I do agree that Incheon airport needs more to earn its ranking, but this wasn't just some schmuck who said it's the world's best airport, it was a trade organization or something and the airport has won the award for years. |

Hmmm! It's an OK airport. As far as the best airport I don't think so. Half of the people working there can't communicate with anyone. The food is sub-par at best. I think the airport in Singapore beats out Incheon, but Narita is far more the most traveled to airport with friendly staff. I think maybe this is only a measure of Asian airports. The best International airport I have been to is Chicago O'hare. Even LAX is much better. Hard to compete with. I'm sure Heath row in the UK is high quality. |

The same organization named Incheon No. 1 in 2009, No. 2 last year and No. 3 this year. If Incheon just was like Singapore's Changi, I could believe it's the world's best. |
