Hey guys.
I think I might stay in Korea longterm, possibly make a life here.
So staying around 5-10years or longer.

Other than teaching, what else can one do?
I have an F4, but I am not a gyopo, I am an adoptee.. learning Korean, but I am really bad at it.
So I look Korean but can't speak it basically...

Anyone can suggest any good job agencies that place foreigners in companies?

Any suggestions, or help would be appreciated~

his usage of the word "here" would suggest he is already indeed, here.

no_tofu_speed, it is quite possible. i'm also an f4 with a great job that i obtained here that is not teaching.

keep at it, i'm sure you will find something.

met a gyopo guy here last night who taught for a year and transitioned into a pretty decent corporate gig that did not involve teaching. it's possible. the better your korean is, the more opportunities you can find.

i've met two gyopo who had actual careers here (outside of teaching). they both spoke korean fluently though. one was working at a bank and his bilingualism played a huge role. don't know exactly what he did there, but his ability to speak both english and korean was a necessity. the other was doing some kind of translation/editing work.

as an f4 you have opportunities outside of esl, but korean ability will be a requirement for many of those jobs.

I'm sorry, what is a gyopo? I thought it was just a Korean who grew up overseas? Is it different if you are adopted?

Hopefully it is not an offensive question, it's just that "gyopo" is not a normal word for Westerners.

Colloquially, an ethnic Korean who was either born, or spend most of their formative years outside of Korea. Adopted Koreans maybe be considered a gyopo by many.
